Leadership
I’m a designer at heart. I put a lot of time and energy, long nights and youtube tutorials towards perfecting this morphing craft. My career path as designer to creative services team task wrangler to what is now creative leader resembles nothing of a linear path. A squiggle, if you will.
The success I’ve had as a leader, thus far, isn’t in the aesthetic of a particular mailer, a campaign, or an ad. My greatest work shows in the truth of what I do and, ultimately, how great my team is; growing, developing and helping them become the best versions of themselves so they can put their best creative forward. I am their lighthouse, their punching bag, and their lightning bolt. There to steer the course, listen, and inject innovation and guidance.

I’m a designer at heart. I put a lot of time and energy, long nights and tutorials towards perfecting this morphing craft. My career path as designer to creative services cat herder to what is now creative director resembles nothing of a linear path. A squiggle, if you will. It includes sections made up of standup and improv comedy, a very short stint as an executive administrator in an adult lockdown psych unit (ask me about that anytime), and an enduring passion for motivating participants in fitness classes a group fitness instructor in Chicago.
The teams I’ve led varied from two to dozens, made of a mix of designers, copywriters, project managers, innovators and motivators. I cultivate and create team cultures that are honest, open, collaborative, curious, and most importantly…fun! The success I’ve had as a leader, thus far, isn’t just in the aesthetic or various metrics of a particular campaign or an ad. My greatest work shows in the truth of what I do and, ultimately, how great my team is; growing, developing and helping them become the best versions of themselves so they can put their best creative forward.
